Summary:
Definately on the Red plus side of trail category

Review:
Rode this trail in Summer 2015 with a couple of mates of varying ability. We pitched up after a couple of days of riding locally thinking 'its on the way home, we will have a razz round the red a couple of times and get off home'. After all 8km cant be all that difficult can they?

Well we discovered 8km can be testing. For one thing this is a trail that fits plenty in. In the 8kms you are pretty much either going steeply up or steeply down. As reds go this trail is definitely on the difficult side of the category. There are roots aplenty and steep, slippery, natural trails in a heavily wooded setting. In other words its a blast if you are at a decent level on a decent full suss bike. I wouldn't take novices on hard tails now that I know what the trail is about. That said there is a blue to bail onto and in fact that is what happened to to our least experienced member who wasn't enjoying it. So two of us arrived back at the car park grinning and utterly knackered after 8 pretty testing kilometres.

This isnt a polished trail centre experience but it certainly has its attractions. There are no facilities beyond a car park and a trail head map and the signposting is a bit erratic, we had to ride back up part of the blue to find the last section of red because there was no signpost on a junction, but apart from these niggles we had a great couple of hours.

best if your fairly local

i think ninja sums it up pretty well. ive been afew times now, ave 2 travel about 40mins 2 get there. dont think it would be worth traveling any further 2 b honest. it suffers with drainage in places, soriding in the wet can b abit of a chore. its definately alot more enjoyable in the dry 2 get the most out of the good technical downhill. take a map or if uve got the day there just ave agood mooch around.

It's a good trail, local knowledge helps though, there is a fair amount of uphill, but there some sweet downhill, the best downhill is slightly off the trail. After the v steep uphill (push) head right at the t juction when it levels off, get a sweet steep/technical downhill bit, it then rejoins the brown trail on the fire road

TAKE A MAP!! Good trail though

Review:
Went on this trail a couple weeks ago and the signposts are awfull, you have to look hard for them at times, at one y junction there isnt one at all. Consequently we went the wrong way and got lost!!(Go left!) However it is a good trail.

Eastridge brown trail starts from the carpark & goes up...& up...& then it goes up some more. The 3 or 4 fast sections are good, flowing tracks but arnt quite worth bursting your lungs for. If its been raining alot the deep mud puddles will throw you off if your
not carefull. Also I would recomend taking a map as some joker has turned loads of the signs around (cheers mate). All in all, if its dry & you dont mind a good climb, you will find some good tracks
