Great area for riding, lots of choice, plenty of climbs and some fun decents through fields (who knew they were so bumpy and fun!)

Summary:
Sadly getting ruined by MX bikes

Review:
Rode this in Oct 2014 during the Viking Challenge and had a good time. Variety of tarmac, bridlepaths and footpaths. Plenty of climbs and some fun descents. Even then, there was talk of the trails being carved up by naughty MX bikes and it has got worse.

Fast forward to Dec 2015 and a re-visit with a friend after a few solid days of rain .I don't mind wet and I don't mind mud, but not 3 or 4 inches of gloop for a good 1/4 mile, uphill, several times. Many of the trails were either badly rutted (and effectively unrideable) or just filthy quagmires.

What should have been an enjoyable ride turned into a real slog. The bikes got so clogged up that we had to stop and clear wheels, gears etc.

Plenty of sign-age to tell the bikes which bits to avoid but 3 passed us when we were on another `sticky` section.

The terrain is good and some of the views up and around the Castle are amazing but until there is either more control or some serious repairs carried out, it's not really very bike friendly in places.

I will go back this summer but just to see how it rides in the dry. I'm not optimistic.

enjoyed it

Review:
wasn't expecting much, rode with a mate who lives close by, was harder than I was expecting and some of the down bits are fun, you need to watch out for walkers and other users. worth a go if you live near by and don't have much time to travel a long way to ride

Nice ride. Not lots of single track but a good circuit with some fun rocky descents. Some great views and scenery along the way.

Summary:
Easy route to follow, not too bad.

Review:
Not for the hardcore downhill or single track purist but not too bad, some nice ups and downs, those who like "tractor" style tracks will like it. A good distraction for a couple of hours, tried somewhere different, and on the hole did enjoy it will go again only just over 1 hour from brum. Is a bit slippy and cloggy as review above on saxon way. Missed the trail in forrest will look next time.
