Strathpeffer Bike Zone is a free-to-use mountain bike facility located within Strathpeffer Community Park, just a few minutes' walk from the village centre. Developed through the efforts of local volunteers and Highland Trail Riders, the bike zone offers a welcoming place for riders of all ages and abilities to develop their skills, from young children on balance bikes to more experienced riders.
The Trails
Pump Track
A flowing pump track designed to build confidence, balance and speed. Suitable for riders of all ages and experience levels.
Surface Descent
A purpose-built downhill line with an all-weather surface, allowing it to be ridden throughout the year, even during wet conditions.
Original Descent
The first trail built at the bike zone, featuring a series of tabletop jumps that cater for beginners and more advanced riders alike.
About the Bike Zone
Strathpeffer Bike Zone is part of the wider Strathpeffer Community Park and is managed by the Strathpeffer Residents' Association. Trail design and ongoing expertise have been provided by Highland Trail Riders, helping create a community-focused riding destination.
Getting There
The bike zone is located within Strathpeffer Community Park, just southwest of the village square on Park Road, beside the school and Community Centre. Parking is available at the Community Centre car park (IV14 9AG), with the trails only a short walk away.
