Hafod Mountain Bike Trails

Hafod Trails are located on the edge of Brechfa Forest, in South Wales, offering a good mix of progressive downhill mountain bike trails to suit all abilities.

All our trails are accessed by a super-efficient uplift service, with easy-to-load trailers taking you right to the top. You’ll find techy red and black trails with an off-piste feel, complemented by green and blue flow trails. 

Green Trail

• Floverload

​Beginner cyclist/mountain biker with basic off-road riding skills.  Most gradients are gentle to moderate.  No Technical Trail Features.  Trail surface will be uniformed.

Blue Trails

• Peek-a-Blue
• Space Melon

Intermediate cyclists/mountain bikers with basic off-road riding skills.  Most gradients are moderate but may include short steep sections.  Includes small Technical Trail Features.  The trail surface may include small obstacles, such as roots and rocks.

Red Trails

• Reddy Steady
• Earth Pig
• Mud Life Crisis

Proficient mountain bikers with good off-road riding skills.

Steeper and tougher, and a challenging nature and technical sections.  Expect Technical Trail Features, which may include boardwalks, berms, large rocks, medium steps, drop-offs, and cambers. Expect a very variable surface.

Black Trails

Life's a Beech

Expert mountain bike users, used to physically demanding routes.

As "Red" but with an expectation of greater challenge and continuous difficulty.  Expect large, committing, and unavoidable Technical Trail Features. Sections will be challenging and variable. Can include any usable trail surface.
