Longmynd Batch Burner 2026

Established in 2013, The Long Mynd Batch Burner is a charity fund raising event in support of Norbury and Stiperstones Primary Schools, organised by mountain bikers and friends of the schools. 

This year's Batch Burner promises to be the most fun and friendly mountain bike challenge event that you can enter.

At just over 50km with 1220m of climb, it provides the usual Batch Burner challenge and takes in the magnificent scenery of The Long Mynd, The Stiperstones and lots in between.   A mixture of singletrack, bridleway and some tarmac to link it all up, 2026 will be an epic event.  As usual, the children of Norbury and Stiperstones Schools will be on the hill to cheer you on, entertain you and reward you with spot prizes along the way, so dig out the funny outfits and practise those wheelies!

Our grateful parents and volunteers will out be out in force to welcome you back at Event HQ with plenty of fantastic cakes and tea. Our BBQ will be fired up and serving hot food and the bar will be open!

A mass start challenge event with no prizes for first place. The emphasis is all about riding the best bits of the Shropshire Hills natural trails at your own pace with plenty of strenuous climbs and technically demanding descents.
