I am one of the organisers of this event. We aim to put on a proper "challenge", so the course is steep in places. We stay off-road as much as possible and use private tracks that are not normally accessible to mountain bikers, getting riders into places that they wouldn't normally see. The £20 entry fee includes the cost of hot food, which can be eaten either part-way round or on completion of the ride, depending on how you like to play things.
