Sutton Bank Mountain Bike Trails situated on edge of the North York Moors has three interlinked mountain bike trails suitable for a wide range of abilities, skills and fitness levels.
The cycle trails all start from the national park centre car park, progressing further north along the spectacular escarpment edge of the North York Moors National Park.
The cycle centre offer training and skills courses plus bike hire suitable and a cycle shop to get you back out on the trail as fast as possible.
A short fun loop, located alongside the cycle centre. Great for warming up, practicing your technique or setting up your bike. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
Distance: 3 Miles 20 mins to 1hr
A family-friendly cycle trail - graded 'Green' - that's suitable for beginners with basic skills. 3 miles of family-friendly circular off-road and mostly level route with a spectacular stretch along the cliff edge. From here you can ride home or pick up the blue and red routes...
Short Loop Distance: 5.5 Miles 30 mins to 1.5hr
Long Loop Distance: 7.5 Miles 45 mins to 2hr
The short fort loop, can be used as an extension to the cliff train as it is a similar grade. The long Fort loop is suitable for more experienced mountain bikes, and features rocks, roots, drops and single track.
Distance: 17.5 Miles 1hr 40 Mins to 4hr
A true adventure ride - graded 'Red' - for experienced mountain bikers with good skills and fitness. Rise to the challenge of riding the rocky, swooping single track, various technical features and 'K2', the steepest section in the Sutton Bank Trail System.
