Richmond Bike Park

Richmond Bike Park is an exciting new community mountain bike facility currently under construction on the edge of Richmond, North Yorkshire. Built by Velosolutions UK, the project will provide a free, accessible riding destination designed to encourage riders of all ages and experience levels to develop their skills in a safe and welcoming environment.

When it opens in summer 2026, the bike park will fill a gap in local cycling provision, giving the Richmond area its first purpose-built mountain bike facility of this kind within a 45-minute drive.

The Trails

The latest plans reveal a progression-focused trail network with a variety of lines and features catering for beginners through to more experienced riders. The proposed layout includes:

• 290m green downhill trail
• 390m green climbing trail
• 100m green skills loop
• 345m blue downhill trail
• 530m red downhill trail
• 65m dual slalom track
• 40m jump line with dedicated jump zone

The design makes full use of the hillside, with the green route taking a gentler line around the outside of the site while the blue and red descents offer progressively more challenging runs down the fall line. At the top of the park, riders will find a dedicated skills area featuring the dual slalom track and jump line, creating an ideal space for practising technique before dropping into the trails.
