The tyres are Kenda small block eight's 2.35. They are dual ply and give a lot more grip than people think. The magazines consistently give them top marks in the reviews.

i like the older enduro frames (much nicer then the newer ones), needs a shorter stem and different tyres though (with all the rain we're having).
