I get the hint, new forks. I don't see anything wrong with the Z1 F1 bombers, work well and never broke. Looking at the '08 55 ATA when they are released.

They were the firt forks I bought, done me proud. After building my Scott Nitrous FR bike, I'm a bit short of cash. The Totems cost me just under 700! But they are so plush. There are pics of my bikes on my Photo Album site www.heretic-sports.info/daxphotos

Nope. stick it on the scales! Next upgrade is lightweight wheels, some more carbon and PAce RC40 fighter forks (half the weight of the bombers)

i take it your weighing on paper (working out from manufactures weight)? add a couple of lbs - my turner weighs in a sub 29lbs on paper, but is more like 31/32lbs in reality.

Hhmm I think you're in the minority with your statement. BTW Now it's just under 28lb even lighter still, if I remove the DRS. IT's designed the way I wanted it, it gets abused and used, not a show bike like a lot of people.
It can go lighter still if I change the wheels to UST. Many of the parts could be changed for lighter ones but hen it would not be as strong.

It rides great, I've tried to balance all the parts for equal quality, just trying to get the tyres right for dry weather. Could be a little lighter, currently 28lbs. Should 25.6lbs when I've changed the front wheel

Thanks moredirt, the '06 frame is quite cheap now. Built it in a day. Next project is a FR/DH bike using my Scott nitrous frame. Don't want to damage the enduro, Wharcliffe woods has a reputation for killing bikes. So the new build is going to be bullet proof, lol.
