Alright mate, have the same bike, they're amazing take a look and mine please :) I'd say personally yehr the forks, becuase they are not the smoothest forks out there. I'm getting some Boxxer Races then I'm gonna upgrade my drivetrain to SRAM x9 stuff.
i have an 2006 stinky. i upgraded my forks first (to 888's), then the brakes (to hope M6). the drop off fork is just way to fiddly to tune with its internal rebound adjust (stupid design, it should be on the outside) and the brakes are lacking the power required to effectivly stop such a heavy bike at high speeds. my riding progressed a lot after i got my stinky and as it got harder and faster i found the brakes got worse and worse until i could take them no more and changed them. i love my new ones, they are so good compared to the hayes. check mine out.
with regards to upgrades for you, i would reccomend changing the parts mentioned above first (they are two major upgrades) and then any other minor bits when they break or wear out. i found a chainguide was a good addition to the bike too, i got a cheap blackspire one that does the job most of the time, but i really want an e13 drs or am thinking of dropping to a single ring and getting a e13 srs guide.
my stock 2007 kona .just got back from bacton woods when photo was taken when i cleared my first 8ft road gap whoop.
lol please comment on what i should upgrade first i need some tips im not realy use too freeride been into xc before but got bored.
