Welcome to the best mountain bike ride in Montana: The York 38 Special. The ride consists of three individual rides.
The York 38 Special: 38 miles thru the Big Belt Mountains and the Helena National Forest; gaining 3000 vertical feet from it's lowest point in Nelson to Indian Flats.
The Spirit of 76: Twice the loop - twice the fun - 76 miles.
The Lucky 13 Family ride: 13 miles from York to Vigilante Campground and back.
Outstanding partnerships with the USFS, York Fire Rescue, the community of York, our generous sponsors and the volunteers make this mountain bike ride a great experience.
We made some changes in 2017 and we will keep the Favorite Gulch/Owl Gulch route to Nelson for the 38 Special. The feedback was great.
About half the riders also biked through Beartrap last year and enjoyed the challenge. The additional climb didn’t faze the experienced mountain bikers. This will remain an option along with the route through Trout Creek Canyon.
We'll see you on Saturday, August 25.
