A group of Exmoor Mountain Bike enthusiasts and Calvert Trust Exmoor have joined forces to hold a Mountain Bike Event on the May Bank Holiday, 2nd May 2016.

The route will start and end in the picturesque Exmoor Town of Dulverton. There will be two routes, you can choose from either 14 or 23 miles.

The route will pass through the stunning scenery around the River Barle up to the ancient stone clapper bridge at Tarr Steps. From there the route will climb up to the moorland from where far reaching views can be seen in all directions. From the moor the route heads south east to the river Exe and then leads back into Dulverton for the finish line. Riders have a unique opportunity to pass over land that is not open to the general public. We are grateful to the Hollam and Broford Estates for allowing access.

For people wantingto stay overnight in Dulvertton, there is a hostel available and camping in a nearby field is possible.
