Summary:
A Little Gem

Review:
Two uplift serviced descents and, strangely, three uplift serviced cross country routes.

The descents are good if unremitting and the cross country routes are interesting and having to get a ski lift to the start is certainly novel.

The descents are fairly obvious, being essentially the only two obvious lines down the hill and starting right next to the top of the ski lift. The XC trails start from the Winter Cafe, which is closed in summer, which is a bit of a pedal from the ski lift.

The Blue XC route is more of an explore-your-own affair with guidance from flags set at intervals giving it a strange wilderness-y feel.

There's free parking, a licensed restaurant and camping "pods" at the base station. Uplift is reasonably priced and the ride up the ski lift is scenic and not too exposed, although a jacket is appreciated outside the heights of summer.

Tip of the Day: Either ride very fast or bring midge repellent.

Summary:
Great downhill track

Review:
Really loose and rocky. Very steep but no drops or jumps as such. Couple of very loose berms. Avoid in the wet as it becomes a river. Great fun and with chairlift access. £21 for a day ticket.
