Calderglen Pump Track is a new purpose-built cycling facility at Calderglen Country Park in East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire.
Located close to the park's adventure play area, the pump track is designed as a family-friendly facility suitable for a range of ages and abilities. The track will give riders somewhere to build confidence, develop bike-handling skills and learn how to generate speed through rollers and corners without relying on pedalling.
The track will feature a combination of tarmac riding surfaces, compacted gravel and grass embankments, creating a durable, all-weather facility that can be enjoyed throughout much of the year.
While the design places particular emphasis on younger riders and skill progression, the facility is intended to be accessible to riders of different abilities and a variety of wheeled activities. The design also incorporates some wheelchair access.
Opening Status
Construction of Calderglen Pump Track began on 31 August 2026. Work is expected to be completed before Christmas 2026, subject to weather conditions and construction progress.
The pump track forms the first project in Calderglen Country Park's wider 10-year masterplan to improve facilities for visitors.
Please note: The pump track is currently under construction and should not be ridden until the facility has officially opened.
Please note: Distance is calculated as air distance or "as the crow flies" the most direct route between two points, so the distance by road maybe slightly longer.
