Gosford Forest Park Mountain Bike Trails

Gosford Forest Park, located just outside Markethill, Co. Armagh, offers a well-marked mountain bike trail network suitable for beginners to confident intermediate riders.

Family Cycle Trail (4.2 miles)

Not only a fantastic cycle trail but a wonderful forest filled with incredible flora and fauna. The trail combines forest roads with two short sections of single track. The trail is suitable for cyclists with basic off-road cycling skills.

Green Trail (2.2 miles)

An easier loop that bypasses the castle. Ideal for families. This loop keeps to the western side of the forest, and is ideal for beginner riders. It may be too long for some younger children however.

Blue Trail (7.3 miles)

A popular long blue MTB trail suitable for intermediate riders. The Blue mountain bike trail at Gosford takes in a large proportion of the forest, usually keeping to its edge.

Red Trail (9.2 miles)

A trail comprising both the green and blue sections, the red trail takes a few slightly more challenging sections in around the forest, but overall, is still manageable for the majority of intermediate mountain bikers. 

Pump Track

Located in Gosford Forest, the Pump Track is another excellent activity for visitors of all ages. Set within the forest itself, the pump track at Gosford feels more epic than your typical community pump track. Bike hire is available for free with GetActiveABC Membership.

Gosford Forest Park is loctaed on the A28 Armagh to Newry road. It is on the outskirts of Markethill.
