Excellento mate! Great components and the colour combo is real nice, not gone over the top with the touches of gold which is good. Easily a 10.

keep the old girl. she's a classic

PG replied... on 5 September 2008

i love a happy ending.

otannato replied... on 24 July 2008

After I broke my T12, my wife was talking into selling her. I was about to sell her but luckily my MTB side of brain stopped me and definitely she would be a keeper for the rest of my life I guess. Turner was one of the bikes that got me hooked up with MTB, but back then(1998) I could not afford a Turner and now I got her, I won't let her go hahahaha... what a love story!!!

Love this bike! Where you get that white basguard from?

Also where did you get the white rims (that are only white on the inner part?

10/10

otannato replied... on 24 July 2008

The bashguard I think it was from CRC if I remember correctly.
The rims are Tioga DH rims, they don't make them anymore but those are the rims that I was looking for for all these years. Got them off eBay for about 30 quid. They're strong as hell and not that heavy, about 580g on my digital scale. The only place I can find new ones are from winstanleybikes but they're not in stock so don't know if they really do have those.

I can only say that i like it. The bars look really high though. Is that the angle of the pic or do you have a big raiser bar on there

otannato replied... on 12 April 2008

Thanx for the rating m8! Yes, its 50mm(2 inch) rise bar. Turner always has a short steering tube, fitting a high rise doesn't make the bar quite high actually. I'm 5'3" and my reach is not that long for pulling up the front end whenever I do the jumps and drops. I used to have Easton low rise and it always feel hard for me to pull the front end up.

otannato replied... on 9 April 2008

Get one if you can, you won't regret it. Wait till someone put up in ebay so you could get a bargain like mine, though it's an old model still ride excellent with the original horst link.

Pssst!! You could save a lot if you buy from the yankeeland(saves around 100 quid plus you get the upgraded steel drive shaft, not the standard alu shaft!)

still a ten, but you dont have a front derailer like you say, and your bars look like they use fishing reels to shift with.

stickman replied... on 5 April 2008

single ring all the way, check mine!

otannato replied... on 24 March 2008

Hahaha yeah, I guess you can say that. I need to shorten the brake cables actually but I don't have the bleed kit yet and the about the front mech, I do have the XTR front mech but still undecide whether to go with triple or double chainring with a bashguard, what do you think?

nice bike m8 but needs more travel at the back

otannato replied... on 12 April 2008

Done!! Oficially my rig is 6 incher with the new(old) rocker link. Luckily someone from Hawaii has a couple of them and got them for 51 quid shipped. Can't wait to head to the Wall again!

harobasher replied... on 11 April 2008

6inch travel is absoloutely fine for UK thrashers mate nice bike!

otannato replied... on 24 March 2008

Thanx! Still waiting from Turner about upgrading the rocker link to make it a 6 inch rear, or maybe downgrade the fork to a fiver maybe.
