i would give it a 9 cos it would look tons better with white handlebars and maybe white rims but seeing as you bought it as an xc bike and turned it into a dirt jumper congrats!

They are solid frames and I don't regret buying it for a second!
Gonna fit some Pikes soon, make it more Trail/XC friendly as I got one for DJ/FR(/DH when I'm feeling brave)

I mainly do What I call agressive xc on this one.
Its not the fastest, or best climber, with its current setup, but really lets you push it on trails.

Its an xc bike with some DH and DJ parts.
Works well on semi DH trails if you can't afford a full sus.

Around ?800 now, not sure really, I lost count, but it's still no-where near what I want to get it to.
I want XT all over and some Fox 32 forks or something.

It's a dream m8!
Feels solid and stable when going fast down hills, but the tyres on it atm make it slow on the flats.
It keeps up with m8's on full sus's in Afan no problem! (but that might just be me?) lol

They work very well on smooth surfaces, but can be a little stiff when it comes to rocky trails.
I like it tho, it keeps you on your toes and is still controlable.
They'll go better on my other frame when I can afford to get Fox forks for this one!

Depends what you call cheap?
It was a £350 xc bike when I bought it new, but didn't hold up to much with basic components.
I had the forks already, but the rest took a year to be broken and replaced. lol

I just bent the outer chain ring, so I put a white bash guard on for now. Building another bike up and the white is going on there. This one will be for xc only.

cant knock this since it seems built around the same idea (hardcord do it all hardtail) as my own mr hyde (which you could all rate you know) - point knocked off only for visual style for not having either [a] white rims or [b] a black saddle

Cant get it all at once. But the saddle is just cos its the only saddle I like and the other colours look shite.
Might consider white rims as a few other parts are going white now!

my mate has one of these set up for xc and it's very good at it.. I use a xc looking frame with a couple of stronger bits and bobs too.. I Love do it all bikes.. nice

Dont knock it til you tried it, I dont have many hills around and I'm just getting used to a few street styl moves and dont want to screw up any of my xc parts I put back on it when racing.
The saddle drops low and it does work as a do it all bike (except dh ofcourse)

Its about 16kg / 35lb whatever you want to call it.
I,m going to put some better brakes on soon and use these for my project bike. An old xtort. BLAST FROM THE PAST!
