I had one of these for a couple of months before i sold it on, and if its like mine it rides very smooth and is capable of bigger tracks than what you think. The main problem i had was that the rear shock only used about 65% of the travel regardless of what you did with it. but other than that it is a good solid bike for a low price
it works by pivoting the bb, works fantastically well, once you get used to the movement, the travel. 4/5.75 in feels bottomless whilst riding. it is heavy and wears out quickly though.

i've never quite got how thw mongoose version of the idrive system works, they always look heavy and over complicated. That said its quite nice.
