Forst ride today and only had about 20 minutes. Still highlighted a few issues:
1 - Wait until I get rid of this cold before riding again.
2 - let some air out the tyres - this is my fault, I took the bike for a test ride but before I went I asked the guy in the shop to put some more air in the forks, he came back with a track pump and blew the tyres up until they were rock hard (feckin roadies), I pointed out that it was the forks that needed more air and not the tyres, I even took the valve cover off to show him the valve and said we need to use a shock pump, realising he was out of his depth with a mountain bike he got someone else to help me and we got the forks to the right pressure. Anyway, I digress, I should have let some air out of the tyres as they were skipping and sliding over everything. Or the tyres are crap as the minions on my enduro would have been fine.
3 - I need to bed the brakes in properly or they're crap and need replacing.
4 - I need to learn to ride a hardtail again. Got too soft and lazy on my enduro.
All in all though I'm happy with the way the bike handles and rolls over stuff and I need to get put the enduro away for a bit and concetrate on the getting used to hardtails again. When I shift this cold anyway.
