The Cheddar Challenge is no more! The Event was cancelled at the end of July following intervention by English Nature into the use of land around Broadway House for competitive mountain biking.

Fabien Barel has broken a bone in his foot after he slipped and caught his foot between the pedal and the ground while racing in Finland. The bone he has broken is small, but the injury is not.

Team G-Cross Honda riders Greg Minnaar (RSA) and Matti Lehikoinen (FIN) took their Honda RN01 bikes to yet another double podium this week at the penultimate round of the 2006 NORBA Series in the USA. Greg took 2nd place after qualifying 2nd and Matti moved from a 6th spot in qualifying up to 3rd in the final.
