Moray mountain bikers are being given the chance to show off their skills at an event in a local forest on Sunday 2 September. The Knockmore Bash, arranged by Forestry Commission Scotland, will allow biking enthusiasts to take on three challenging downhill trails at Knockmore Forest on Ben Aigan near Elgin.

This weekend sees round four of the Chain Reaction Cycles British Downhill Series at Caersws in Powys near Newtown to the west of Welshpool and Shrewsbury on Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of September 2007. Just follow the signs!

Thanks to a crew of local volunteers an area of dirt jumps have been built in Sherwood Pines Forest. The beginner, intermediate and advanced runs allow riders to push their limits regardless of their level of skill.
