On Sunday Sam Blenkinsop (Yeti/Fox Factory Team) took his first ever step onto the World Cup podium with a classy ride in Round 2 of the Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Vallnord, Andorra.

The World Cup visited Andorra for the first time in its 15 year history and all riders faced the challenge of a new course and all the unknowns that go along with that.

Well Round 2 of the World Cup Downhill is over. The heavy rain held off for the finals and all the riders had a fair race which was cool.

The first triple round of the Nissan UCI World Cup Series was held in the mountain town of Valnord, Andorra where the Santa Cruz Syndicate took two of the five podium spots with Greg Minnaar scooping up third and Steve “Old School” Peat just 3/4 of a second behind him in fourth.

Last weekend Matti Lehikoinen and J.D. Swanguen represented the colors of the MS-Intense Factory-Racing team at the U.S. Open of Mountain Biking. In a first-class field of UCI World Cup contenders both riders had to dig deep to persist. And so they did.
