Southern Grit Gravel Sportive 2027

Southern Grit returns on Sunday 25 April 2027, starting and finishing at Herne Hill Velodrome in London. This gravel sportive heads into the Surrey Hills and North Downs on woodland trails, chalky climbs and mixed terrain.

Choose 110 km with 1,400 m climbing and approximately 65% off-road, or 100 km with 1,355 m climbing and approximately 60% off-road. Both routes share the course until Gatton Park, so riders can choose their distance on the day.

Entry is £50 plus a £20 refundable tracker deposit. Includes a GPX route, individual GPS tracker, live tracking and finish results, coffee and croissants at the start, a halfway feed station, and pizza and beer at the finish.

For confident gravel riders comfortable with 100–110 km, GPX navigation and off-road terrain. Riders manage their own navigation, pacing and mechanicals. Under-18s may ride with a responsible adult throughout. Entries open 26th December 2026; register interest and find full details on the event website.
