The Roman’s Revenge arrives for the very first time… and this is going to be one seriously unforgettable gravel adventure.
85KM of ancient roads, brutal beauty and epic riding through the heart of Snowdonia.
Starting in the iconic mountain town of Betws-y-Coed, The Roman’s Revenge takes riders on an incredible journey towards the historic castle town of Conwy before heading deep into the mountains and onto the legendary old Roman roads that inspired the event’s name.
This is not just another gravel ride.
This is a battle against the terrain, the climbs and yourself.
Built centuries ago to cross some of the harshest landscapes in Wales, the Roman roads still carve through the mountains today — rough, remote and absolutely perfect for a proper adventure on two wheels. Expect long gravel drags, rocky ancient tracks, breathtaking descents and scenery that feels untouched by time.
The Roman’s Revenge is all about earning every kilometre.
Big mountain views. Endless valleys. Fast flowing gravel. Wild exposed sections. Historic trails. This is gravel riding at its rawest and most rewarding.
And just like all of our events, this is a challenge — not a race.
Ride at your own pace, soak in the atmosphere and experience one of the most unique gravel routes Wales has to offer. Whether you’re coming to push yourself or simply enjoy an incredible day out on the bike, this route delivers adventure from start to finish.
