The Nevis Range are beyond excited to launch the Downhill Mini Series in 2026. A brand-new, 4-round youth race series created specifically for young riders. Designed as an accessible introduction to downhill racing, the series focuses on building confidence, developing skills, and, most importantly, having fun.

Running alongside selected major events at Nevis Range, each round gives juniors the chance to be part of a big race weekend while still enjoying a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. There’s no pressure just great trails, good vibes, and an opportunity for kids to ride at their own pace and enjoy the experience.

This standalone event won’t overlap with MacAvalanche, it’s all about the kids blazing their own trails!

About the Series

This New Downhill Mini Series is all about creating a positive first step into racing. The focus is on fun, progression, and participation helping young riders build confidence, develop skills, and enjoy riding some of Nevis Range’s iconic trails in a supportive race environment.

Whether it’s their first event or they’re already hooked on racing, this series is the perfect way for young riders to get involved.

The series is made up of four rounds, but there’s no pressure to do them all. You’re welcome to enter just one round, pick a couple, or ride three. If you’re aiming for the overall series win, we recommend riding all four - but it’s totally up to you.

This event will take place on our lower bike trails, and no bike uplift is required. Participants will be expected to push up to the Puggy Line.
