Come join us for an awesome weekend at the Wild West Fest in Ruidoso! Things are changing a bit this year for the the 12 Hours in the Wild West, and we are excited to provide new challenges.
We are keeping the 6 and 12 hour endurance competition that is held at the Grindstone Lake Trail System. But, we are adding a full weekend of options. This includes a fun urban “crit race” in-town on Friday night through the streets (and BUILDINGS) in Midtown Ruidoso. We are also adding a 40 mile marathon option on Saturday that includes both the Grindstone and the Cedar Creek trails. Finally, for those who like to go (mostly) downhill) we are adding a 3-4 stage Pedally Enduro on Sunday. We are talking about a proper Enduro on un-groomed singletrack. You have to be able to pedal your bike. It all adds up to an entire weekend of fun in Ruidoso!
People rave about the trails in Ruidoso, and you’ll soon see why. Shred on singletrack with semi-technical switchbacks and enjoy phenomenal flowy descending through the ponderosa pines. And don’t forget about the amazing views along the trails. From weekend-riders to professional grinders, Wild West Fest Weekend is fun for all. Plus, the event is so close to the Village of Ruidoso that you can roll to the start of the race from some of the hotels in town (or roll into town and get some grub after!).
