Hamsterley 1 2 1 Race is a multiformat DH and XC race with riders using the same bike for both disciplines.

The race has two separate disciplines with a XC race on Saturday that uses some of the best sections of technical singletrack Hamsterley has to offer. Then on Sunday we host a DH race using one of the many DH trails at Descend Hamsterley.

Points are awarded depending upon your place in both races then combined to give an overall winner.

You can only use one Bike !! So do you suffer on the XC with a big travel bike, but smash the Downhill or vice versa ?? You can change your peddles and tyres so you’re not dragging super tacky 2.5s around the trails but that's it.

The DH course is picked so that it is rideable on a hard tail so don't be put off if you don't regularly huck 6ft drops.
