The Wild Boar Chase is a mountain bike ride in the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley using forest tracks, bridleways and short sections of minor roads.
Choose from longer, tougher routes to shorter easier routes.
Distances from 20 miles to 44 miles.
All riders cycle all or most of the Small Boar (the 20 mile option) .
The next distance, the Woody Boar (the 23 mile option) stays within the main Forest. The Woody Boar includes a challenging climb and descent in Sallowvallets then re-joins the Small Boar riders in the Cannop valley.
The Hog (the 39 mile option) moves out of the Forest and visits the edge of the Wye Valley.
The Full Boar (the 44 mile option) visits Wales when it leaves The Hog, descends to the river Wye, then climbs back up and re-joins the Hog to return to the Forest.
You can change the distance you ride on the day, no need to inform us. We will track riders on the Small Boar, the Hog, the Woody Boar and the Full Boar by scanning bar codes printed on the event numbers.
