Hamsterley Beast has now become the biggest cycle event of any kind to be held in Hamsterley forest. All set in the heart of Co Durham’s beautiful landscape.

The route is split in to two route lengths this year 40 mile and 20 miles.  All of which start and finish within Hamsterley forest.

As with previous years, it's a challenge and NOT a race. The challenge is to finish!! The event is open to everyone, young and old, teams and individuals, both serious and fun cyclists. Hamsterley Beast event team thrive to offer a fun, professional and a safe event, with a very relaxed atmosphere. But it goes without saying the riding and backdrops are at the top of everyone's list. It doesn't matter what you ride or how you ride it, we're all just there to have fun and make some money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

This year the Beast is really knocking it up a notch! Following the success of 2018s mini music fest, we will be bringing you even more live music, food and beer. Watch out for some cool "glamping" options too. There is a limited number of camping spots. So best get your camping booked early.  Camping information and cost can be found here.
