REVOLVE24 | E-MTB CHALLENGE | 15 SEPTEMBER 2018 | BRANDS HATCH
A new event for the Revolve24 Festival Weekend of Cycling!
As well as our flagship Endurance Cycling Events (24 hour | 12 hour | 6 hour Challenges) we are excited to announce a brand new event - the Revolve24 e-MTB Two Stage Relay Race which will take place on the morning of Saturday 15 September 2018 at Brands Hatch.
What is the e-MTB Two Stage Relay Challenge?
Join the e-bike revolution and get involved in the UK's first dedicated e-MTB challenge event!
A Two Stage Challenge on a demanding multi-surface (mainly off-road) circuit covering approximately 5km within the confines of the iconic Brands Hatch venue.
A team relay event open to soloists, duos and teams of four - Male, Female and Mixed categories.
Held over two stages this will be a true challenge of man and machine, strategy and stamina (both human and battery) so the perfect chance to find out what you and your eMTB can do!
This event is for street-legal eMTBs only (see definition below).
Stage One
Qualifying lap to determine your team's start position - all team members to complete a single lap. Your team's average lap time will dictate your start position for the Challenge.
Stage Two
6 hour challenge - for soloists it's a matter of pacing yourself and your machine. For duos and teams of four, it's a relay (one rider on the track at a time) - so race strategies, transitions and battery management will become prominent.
Bikes may be charged in between Qualifying Laps and the 6 Hour Challenge only - no charging is permitted during the event.
