After a successful resurrection in 2016, the GMBC is back on the 9th September 2017.  Based at the centre of Grizedale forest, in the Lake District, the endurance event takes riders round 32 miles of beautiful Lakeland forest, with views looking over Coniston and the fells beyond.  This is not for the faint hearted though, as there is also 4200ft of uphill, and technical descents on some of the most interesting sections Grizedale has to offer.  We can guarantee to show you places in the forest only ridden in this event, many of which you might not even know about!  We guarantee mud, sweat and laughs.  But let the riding speak for itself, sign up and get training for an event not to be missed!

Adding to the event, there will be camping on the Friday and Saturday nights (Hopefully drier than last year!).  We will also have a BBQ, Bar and live band, all starting around 4pm as everyone finishes.  We will also have bike Manufacturers on site, showing their stuff and chatting anything bike!
 
An addition to this years GMBC there be a mobile mechanic roaming the forest.  Having a problem with your bike during the event?  Get to a marshal and they can radio in to contact the mechanic who will try his best to get you back underway and finishing the challenge!  Remember too, we have permanent mechanics at the Grizedale Mountain Bike Shop, who will happily make sure your bike is running before the event starts.

We will also have spot prizes, and a raffle based on your rider number where you can win all sorts of lovely goodies from people such as Go-Ape, Specialized, Scott, Fox, Madison and more!

Are you bringing spectators?  Do they want to be paid to help out and watch you ride past?  We are also looking for Marshals for the event.  If you know anyone who is free to take part, they too can log in here and register, or email [email protected].  The marshals are a crucial part of the GMBC and I extend another heartfelt thanks to the lovely, smiley and encouraging marshals from 2016, be part of the 2017 team and sign in now.
