Mountain Bike Adventure Event for all Abilities
The event HQ is based in the village of Brechfa, located on the B4310 which is north of the main A40 between Carmarthen and Llandeilo. The event will straddle a section of the beautiful River Cothi and its many tributaries which pass through rolling countryside, mountains, farmland and forestry. The Brechfa area is famous for its purpose built MTB trails located to the north and east of the village. A part of the MTB trail area will be contained in the event but the planner will also introduce entrants to a wider area which are only used by the hardy locals. The course planner is excited to introduce an inaugural MBO event to this stunning area.
The Controls Points (CP) will be located on local roads, tracks and PRoWs which pass through the undulating topography populated by forests and farmland. The CPs will be marked on A3 1:25,000 maps. There will also be advice on a shorter route for novices, families and those not wishing to venture too far away from the event HQ.
Toilets are available at the HQ and post-event hot refreshments will be on offer. Also donations for our chosen charity will be gratefully received on the day.
Parking is available in the car park located next to the Church Hall. Please park sensibly on the main road outside the event HQ when the main car park is full. There are plenty of accommodation options located nearby for those wanting to make a weekend of it, including "MTB friendly" accommodation due to the trails nearby.
Entry on the Day is permitted, but please email us to reserve a map and SI Dibber. Print off the Event Flyer above and bring a completed copy with you on the day.
