The MADORC is back… New Venue, New Route, and more…
Intro
The Mean And Dirty Off Road Challenge. The MADORC will start and finish at Ebworth Park. Either 50 or 100k options are open to everyone with a mountain bike and the desire to test themselves against a brilliant route through the fantastic Cotswolds terrain.
This year we are also running a children’s race during the day and welcome all abilities. All participants will be required to be accompanied by their parents or guardian.
The MADORC Format.
This is a one lap mountain bike challenge, NOT A RACE!, so you will ride once around the route. The mass start kick’s off in the main arena in Ebworth Park, you’ll then head out on a 25k loop before coming back to the first refreshment stop again in Ebworth. You will then take on another 25k on a different route before again coming back where the 50k riders will finish and the hardcore will head out again for a further 50k of brilliant trails.
The route will have fantastic trails and single-track, mixed with some brilliant downhills to keep you on your toes. The route will be available as a GPX file and also signed throughout with warnings before anything technical.
As always we will have full support from our radio linked marshal crews making sure we take care of everyone.
The Route.
Is coming, but what we can say is it will feature some of the Ebworth trails used in the very successful MiniORC event mixed up with the popular open countryside from the 2014 MADORC.
The full route will be published just before the event and a GPX file will be made available.
What else…
With the main event in full swing we are holding a children’s race in the main arena. we will be recruiting parents to help run things. There will be a proper podium and prizes so even if you’re not in the main event, there something for everyone.
And…
No event is complete without food and refreshments and this will be available throughout the day along with some trade stand and support. Finally. Entry to the MADORC is £35 but this also includes a free pasta meal and event t-shirt. Entries are open now and will close before the event.
