BikePark Wales Unveils Revamped A470 Line!

1 May 2025  |

Everyone’s favourite trail just got even better! After extending this iconic trail in 2024 the BikePark Wales Trail Crew haven’t rested on their shovels, they have been busier than ever before, and their latest creation is a brand-new lower half of the trail.

A470 remains the same until the end of the first straight after you exit the conifer forest, but from here on it’s an all new line taking a different route. Features on the new trail are smaller than the end of the old A470 Line and will feel like less of a step up in difficulty compared to the start of the trail (don’t worry, those of you that like big jumps will LOVE our next launch).

The new line carries the same flowy vibe as the top section launched in 2024, still keeping that progressive nature, with a more gradual build in difficulty that makes the line more fun and playful!

Our aim for this build was to create an effortless flowy jump trail from top to bottom, one that encourages lap after lap of trains with friends. We wanted to include a variety of fun features that can be effortlessly cleared with the speed generated by the trail and for the step up in size of jump from the top of the trail to the bottom to be smaller than before. It’s safe to say the Trail Crew nailed it, thanks boys!

Moving the end of A470 Line means that the “old” second half of A470 is now redundant, what should we do with that?... Tune in to our Trail Diaries YouTube series to find out what’s coming next.
