2020 HOPE MTB Marathon Series

23 December 2019  |

2020 will have a very British theme, our very good friends from the UK’s favourite metal machinists have taken up the mantle as headline series partners.

We’re super excited to team up with HOPE TECHNOLOGY - The team from Hope have been taking care of Saturdays for a few years now with their Kids Academy and Hopetech Women’s rides so naturally, they were our first choice when it came to refreshing the line-up, Alan Weatherill, Hope’s head of sales and marketing stated “We’ve been riding the MTB Marathons for many years and have always loved the friendly and inclusive nature of the events and feel it resonates strongly with Hope’s own ethos. In the last few years we’ve been running our popular Hopetech Women rides and Kids Academy sessions on the Saturday at each event so it was a logical step to take on the role of title sponsor and we look forward to growing our involvement and support for the excellent Cycle-Tec team.”

We simply can’t wait to get the season rolling, this time of year can feel kind of empty here at HQ but with Hope so keen to lead the way we really feel like 2020 will be our best season yet. Our event village wouldn’t be the same without the familiar faces of some of our industry favourites, the ever-enthusiastic Tim from Schwalbe and Matt from Torq are always such a great addition to our family and will again be on-site to talk grip and nutrition.

To help celebrate our very British theme yet further the guys at EXPOSURE LIGHTS are again coming to the party. In the times of ever-decreasing pricing of far eastern tech, it's so good to see another British brand constantly striving for perfection – not just with their amazing products but also in service. In our modern throw-away society, Exposure lead the way when it comes to keeping your older or damaged lights blazing the trail with their impeccable repair service – they may not be the cheapest but it's fair to say that your Exposure lights will still be shining long after their Asian cousins are in landfill.

For 2020 we’re revisiting an old haunt, it’s been a while since we last visited north east Wales but Ruthin was always a favourite, with a great venue and lots of course tweaks we’re certain that you’ll love it. We are also making lots of changes to the Peak District course with a new yet to be revealed venue so get your leave booked, make a weekend of it, bring the family and join us on 11-12th April in Builth Wells, 31st May in Ruthin, 28th June on Exmoor, 12-13th September in the Peak District.

So there we have it, the hundreds of questions that we’ve had over the last couple of months answered! The entries are now live and the first 100 entries will be offered rollback pricing as a thank you for entering early. The popular weekend pass will now give you a massive £15 saving if you enter on-line - yes that makes the Exposure Lights Big Night Out-half price!!

Looking forward to seeing you all in April, Merry Christmas from Gareth, Dave and the green team!
