Login/Sign UpWhat happens when you try to climb the height of Mount Everest, on a mountain bike, at one of the most brutal bike parks in the UK? Becci Skelton found out the hard way.
On April 18th, 2025, Becci set out to complete 25 gruelling laps of the infamous Dyfi Bike Park uplift road, climbing over 8,849 metres in a single day without a single uplift in sight. Battling fatigue, nightfall, savage Welsh weather, and the mental demons that come with riding into the unknown, this ride became more than just a challenge, it became a tribute.
Dedicated to her late mum, this Everesting mission raised over £18,000 for Cancer Research UK and the Welsh Air Ambulance, two causes close to Becci’s heart. With support from friends, family, and a crew that brought endless tea, motivation, and mid-descent party vibes, Becci showed the true meaning of grit, heart, and purpose.
