Login/Sign UpIt's the first race day of the 2023 MERIDA EX, powered by @RideShimano. With the sun shining, the racers took on a host of daytime stages in dry and dusty conditions, riding beautiful, fun and challenging hand-cut stages all in the stunning background of Exmoor.
However, when the sun stopped shining, the fun didn't, as @exposurelights brought the lights and our 80 riders took on 3 stages, staring in the twilight and charging on into the pitch black... lucky they had those lights!
We toasted a big first day with plenty of Bristol Beer Factory and a BBQ down on the local farm.

What is the MERIDA EX?
Over 80 riders, 23 stages, over 100km of distance and over 4000m of climbing plus great food and drink, stunning scenery, uplifts for the biggest climbs, plenty of social, plenty of fun, and plenty of good times with good friends both old and new.
Tea stops, dinner parties, lumberjack shirts and BBQs! THE MERIDA EX, presented by Shimano is back ... and boy, oh boy it is it something special!
