My First Proper trail

Review:
Usually I ride open XC but this was my first bash at a man made trail and it rocked. I was riding it at the Bierfest event and was on there with some much quicker riders who seemed to be blazing the trail at speed. For me though as a noob it was great and I rarely felt out of my depth. Within a couple of laps my confidence grew and I felt like I was motoring.
I would reccomend this for any new riders.

Pretty decent!

Review:
My first real MTB experience, was tricky in places due to my lack of experience and the wet riding conditions. Would probably be better in the dry.
Pretty good beginners when ridden slowly, but can be ridden at speed to provide a greater challenge for more experienced riders!

Good work Architrail!

Review:
This is now fully open after being revamped by Architrail. The trail now runs in reverse, so you start in the Redwood woods and head down to the 'roundabout', where you can ride both the Quarry trail (vlue) and New Barn Wood (red). You finish on the Beggar Bush Lane trail and head back to the car park.
All in all, this is a fantastic trail, built to be ridden in all weather, it's pretty smooth at the moment, but I'm sure it'll weather in over the winter. Lots of rocks on the lower NBW trail.

good

Review:
really good, hard at first if you've never done mountain biking before but after a while it gets a bit boring, but so does most things, lots of cool jumps etc in middle, best when been raining alot for days before!

Fun & Challenging

Review:
Superb single track, technical sections to challenge most people, fast in places, but its the single track buzz that does it for me not the out and out speed. 50 achre wood is the best bit by far. A bit to easy in the dry but after (or during the) rain is brilliant, slimey mud, slippery roots and rocks (even more so now, it has been seriously cut up by the recent race they had there - well at leat I think they have had a race there......). Rides well on both my bikes.

Since I found Still Woods just over the hill I've been combining the ride to make it a bit of everything ride, parking at the top of Long Ashton riding the Ashton Court Loop from 1/2 way then back to the camper van for a change of gear for the downhilling/jumping! what a life, if only I could afford to live in Long Ashotn I would be there every day!
