Review:
This place is great! the Little dirt jumps are a right laugh and the red trail flows well. If you get it on a really dry day it's VERY loose and dusty but it's in Wales so that's pretty rare. Centre's great and the food's sound. I recommend it to anyone!

Llandegla is fun, I have only ever rode the red and black routes. Was expecting abit more from the 'black' route which is pretty tame to be honest.
The place is in need of more maintenance as in building up berms massive so brakes are not needed to slow down when hitting one. You don't seem berms in whistler about 1ft high.

Review:
This place is awesome. The Blacks are Definately Blacks....don't listen to the haters who just want to tell everybody how amazing they are. The climb at the start is long but not all that difficult but you are instantly rewarded on the red trail. I haven't ridden the Blue so can't comment on that. There's a nice Cafe at the start/end which does nice food.
It's £4.50 to park, I personally think £4.50 for a while day off mountain biking is an absolute bargain.

Dropped in on my way through on an XC ride in the area. I hadn't been there for a while, but its no where near challenging as it used to be. The trails here are smooth, and not at all technically challenging.

The blacks here are not blacks....red....at a push and thats being optimistic.

People do go on about the gradings of these tracks....the problem is, everyone thinks that they can ride a bike, because they can ride one up the road. I can ski, but just because I can ski, I don't try to ski all the black runs when I go, because I know I'll get hurt because I'm only an average skier....The tracks here are very easy if you can ride a bike well, but they are fast, and if you run out of talent, you WILL hurt yourself.

On the weekend it is PACKED, which makes it difficult to ride the course at any pace, and people there do seem to get a bit grumpy when you try to pick your way through.

So if you want to go and ride the courses fast there....go on a Monday when the Cafe is shut as its normally pretty empty. The cafe is pretty cool, but the food is pretty average, can take ages, and is expensive. Personally, I think the cafe at the the fishery is just as good, if not better. The coffee there is amazing and the chap who runs it is very bike friendly and welcoming.

The bike shop is cool, but again, expensive.

I'll try to be positive....its a big bmx course, with loads of easy jumps to feed your ego into thinking you're awesome on a bike and make you feel epic in a nice forest.

Its a good place to ride and train on in the winter as the trail drains really well. Other than that.....there's loads of better places to ride.

There are loads better natural more challenging places not a million miles away from this area to ride....Llangollen, Longmynd, Eastridge, Hopton, Marin, Penmachno, to name a few for starters.

Bottom line. If you are a novice, or a weekender, with a low standard of fitness, then this will challenge you physically and you will find the trails fun and hard. It really is a great place for families.

If you can ride a bike well.....don't waste your time unless you are purely going there to burn your lungs in the winter.....it is good for that.
