I went to Gisburn Forrest for the first time last week. I read all the reviews and decided to go anyway. Glad I did the red route is 80% firetrack however there are several single track options and diversions if you go looking for it. Several more routes being mapped out the future looks extremely bright for Gisburn and I will be back.

The future looks very bright indeed!!!!!

Went up today and progress on the new trails is coming on leaps and bounds. There is a lot of activity and the trail builders were up working hard. There is a really good looking downhill/ skills loop that isn't quite finished yet but the foundations for a boardwalk are in place and some nice drop offs/ kickers can been seen from the forrst road in the distance. Overall the ride was good today but each time we go, we get more and more excited about what we are seeing (quite possibly the best trail centre in the North West when done?). Come on trail builders, your doing a great job but we can't wait much longer!!!! :-)

We rode the whole place over a day and came across some ,not bad red trail. It was only just red trail for 80% and good red for some.We spent some time on fire trail and the signs have been moved or displaced by our muppets.. We couldn't get on the new laid single track although some muppets had rode straight through the tapes clearly signposted for evryone to see they were still bedding in..and not open.We walked through a short section and it looks great with berms bridges switchbacks and single and double jumps. Can't wait and clearly some have not...Keep up the good work. I live in the area so this is a local gem in the making for dads and lads. The muppets can go back to wherever and stop giving our sport a bad name. These guys are spending our money well, so give em a chance to get it done that way we can all ride it as designed safely and for longer.

I took my wife there last week. Most of the ride was on fire roads, but my main problem with it was unlike any other trail I've been to that is ONE WAY ONLY, this route LETS RIDERS GO BOTH WAYS. You can quite easily meet other people coming at you on single track, and if you're both going quite fast, this is asking for trouble. Won't be going back......
