Sweetwater Bike Park: Features for Beginners to Experts
Sweetwater Bike Park, located in Bonita, California, is a packed dirt bike park in southern San Diego county that offers a wide range of features designed for all skill levels.
Sweetwater Bike Park was the first major bike park built in San Diego county and is considered one of the most extensive in terms of scale and variety of terrain elements.
The bike park offers three progressively challenging jump lines, a children's area, three pump tracks, a perimeter trail, and a skills zone with wooden structures and rock formations.
The park features several large tabletop jumps allowing riders to gain significant airtime - and face consequences when landings go awry. Near the lower section, there are sizable wooden berms incorporated into one of the flow tracks.
Less experienced riders have ample gentler terrain options to develop and test skills. Sweetwater provides banked pump and flow tracks accommodating riders of different abilities.
The park typically closes after rainfall to allow the sculpted dirt to dry and be groomed, given its material composition.
Helmet use is mandatory while utilizing the park facilities. Powered bikes and dogs are not permitted.
