Clyne Valley Country Park in Swansea, South Wales features marked XC mountain bike trails plus unofficial trails for riders to discover. Clyne Riders volunteers built a new waymarked XC trail in 2014, complementing the existing natural trails and Dirt Jumps (Moos Trail) in Clyne Woods.
Launched in 2014 and refreshed in May 2025 by On Track, the official waymarked XC route is about 6km long and graded red & black. It consists of 2 loops, connected by a shared climb back to the top.
To access the trails, follow the Cycle track 4 of the National Cycleway Network through the park and the XC trail starts climbing from past the lake on the left hand side.
Moos Trails features a large, progressive dirt jump park with multiple lines, built by dedicated riders with local council permission. The hand-built trails, created entirely by volunteers, are only accessible in dry conditions.
There are two main car parks - off B436 adjacent to A4067 Mumbles Road or on Ynys Newydd Road adjacent to Derwen Fawr Civic Amenity Site off B436. There is also a small car park adjacent to the Railway Inn in Upper Killay.
E-Bikes AllowedPlease consider joining the local riding association to support trail development & maintenance.
Please note: Distance is calculated as air distance or "as the crow flies" the most direct route between two points, so the distance by road maybe slightly longer.
