An impressive North Shore freeride area using materials from the forest itself situated at the northern end of the XC trail.
The Bedgebury Freeride area features both low level northshore and dirt jumps. These are ideal for practicing bike handling skills and learning new tricks. The low level northshore provides a safe introduction to trials riding with a variety of obstacles. These include tight bends, a narrow plank, a log ride, rollercoaster style ups and downs, a drop off and more. The dirt jump section has tabletop jumps of different shapes with a larger one at the end.
Bedgebury is located close to the Kent/East Sussex border, approximately 2 miles north of Flimwell and within an hour’s travel from London, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Hastings and Eastbourne. From London leave the M25 at junction 5 and join the A21 southbound towards Hastings. Bedgebury is signposted off the A21 on the B2079, approximately 12 miles southeast of Tunbridge Wells and 16 miles northwest of Hastings. The new Visitor Centre and car park gives easy access to both the National Pinetum and Forest.
Please note: Distance is calculated as air distance or "as the crow flies" the most direct route between two points, so the distance by road maybe slightly longer.
