Castle Archdale Forest Cycle Trails explore woodland beside Lower Lough Erne in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The waymarked cycling route connects Castle Archdale Forest with the neighbouring country park, combining woodland surroundings with stretches along the lough shore.
The routes offer a recreational cycling outing, with opportunities to explore the wider Castle Archdale estate. The forest contains a mixture of broadleaved and coniferous woodland, while the country park includes the courtyard of the former Archdale House and reminders of the area’s Second World War history.
Cycling trails can be accessed from the forest car park beside the old castle ruins. The forest is also accessible from Castle Archdale Country Park, where entry is free.
Follow the designated cycling routes and ride considerately around other visitors. Forestry work can occasionally restrict access to parts of the forest, so observe any closures, diversions and safety signs.
