Description

Ballo Woods Mountain Bike Trails are located in the Sidlaw Hills near Abernyte, between Perth and Dundee in Perthshire, Scotland. The woods are best known for their (in)famous spicy trails, home to the Ballo Enduro, and offer a compact but challenging network of natural singletrack.

Popular with local riders, Ballo Woods is all about technical woodland singletrack and challenging natural terrain. While small in size, the trails pack in plenty of character and are ideal for quick laps, skills sessions, or testing yourself on some of Perthshire’s more demanding trails.

Next door is Hallyburton Woods, with flowier trails that provide a nice contrast to Ballo’s technical lines. Many riders choose to link the two hills in a single ride, though you may prefer to tackle one hill at a time to get the maximum number of laps on each.
