The Alaro, Cuber trail loop is not a route for the faint hearted, especially if you don't like carrying your bike! It's also a good idea to have a torch.
Starts with a steady 6km climb through the Solleric estate, until you reach Plaza de Sion. From here follow the left hand trail to wards Embass de Cuber. after a short climb you will see a large pipeline coming out of a tunnel in the mountain side. You can choose to ride through the tunnel, which is where a light comes in handy or you can ride round the canaleta around the outside of the mountain but it is very narrow and a long drop to the bottom! Between each tunnel you will have to carry your bike as it is to steep and rough to ride, this continues for 2 kms. Once you have exited the last tunnel you can see the Cuber dam. Its a fairly easy ride along the reservoir following the water channel that links Cuber with Gorg Blau before turning off towards Tossals Verd (NOT Tossals Verd pas lis). The climb to the top is steep and technical and in parts you may have to hike.
The descent to Tossals verde starts with tight rocky switchbacks with some stone steps. Its pretty steep with large rocks and drops. You may have to carry your bike down some sections. Once you reach The Refugio at Tossals Verde you take the very fast road descent to the bottom, before climbing back up the other side to Plaza de Sion and back to Alaro.
