The Easton Havoc UST 150mm wheelset is meeting the increasing demands of freeride and downhill riders by launching a 12x150mm version of the Havoc UST wheels.
Total wheelset weight for this new option is a remarkable 1,870-grams (about 100-grams lighter than Mavic's Deemax Ultimate), making it the lightest 12x150mm wheelset on the market. Easton will continue selling the Havoc DH—the heavy-duty alternative and the official wheel of Whistler Bike Park (nothing sees abuse like a fleet of rental DH bikes!) but the new Havoc UST 150mm takes downhill wheels to a new level by dropping nearly a full pound of weight and adding UST compatibility! The Havoc UST 150mm features a UST tubeless compatible, 23-millimeter inner rim width (28mm external) and is laced 3-cross with 28 straight-gauge Sapim spokes. Havocs are available with either bold orange anodized hubs and matching water-transfer graphics or a stealthy gray. The Havoc 150mm is sold as a separate rear wheel for $555 or with a 20mm front wheel as a complete set at $1000 and is also available with 157mm endcaps. This new wheelset has been race tested all season on the downhill world cup by Team Lapierre and Team Devinci. Steve Smith (Devinci) just won the Canadian Open DH race aboard the Havoc 150 wheels.
