Why We Ride - Après Visuals
21 September 2012 | By AngusMcIntoshThis is a short film about what goes into being an athlete in the challenging and extreme sport of downhill mountain bike racing. Shot and edited by Amon Barker with apresvisuals.com. Amon Barker and bike racer, Sam Stevens collaborated on this project traveling across New Mexico to several races and camping out in various locations in order to capture the images you see.
Equipment used was the Canon C300 camera with a mix of Canon L series and Zeiss CP.2 glass. Kessler gear was used for dolly and crane shots.
Thanks to Aloha Mountain Cyclery for its support (alohamountaincyclery.com) and to Dave Kodama for pulling some good focus. Let us know what you think of the short!
