Thomas Genon signs with rasoulution

Thomas Genon 18-year old slopestyle talent works from now on together with rasoulution. Genon joins his freeride colleagues Martin Soderstrom (SWE) and Andreu Lacondeguy (ESP) as well as trial phenomenon Danny MacAskill (SCO) that are also managed by the sports agency from Munich.

Thomas Genon belongs to the young guard of freeriders that are consistently pushing the progression of the sport. At the young age of 16 people noticed him for the first time at the Fise Slopestyle in Montpellier when Thomas got 4th. At that time it was obvious, that the scene will hear more from the young Belgian shredder. Especially in the last year the UMF-athlete showed vast improvements in his riding. At the Go Big or GoHome 2011 in Munich Genon took second place with a strong appearance including lots of big tricks. A few weeks later he could even top his performance: he finished 6th at the Red Bull District Ride in Nuremberg and left a couple of the most renowned FMB World Tour riders behind him. In the FMB World Tour overall ranking 2011 he was then listed as the 13th best freerider of the world.

In 2012 the rider from Plainevaux, near Liège confirmed his ascending form: He started with a 9th place at the FMB World Tour's season debut at the Vienna Air King. Then he got 4th at the Rocket Air in Switzerland and 5th at the Red Bull Berg Line. Finally at the 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy the performance of the restrained Belgian exploded completely and consequently he won his first Gold Event. In his runs he showed why rasoulution wanted to pick the young gun: Genon combines technical variations in his repertoire that includes double tailwhips, super-stylish flatspins, flips and 360's in every kind of execution or his favorite trick the "decade".

"Not only his victory at the 26TRIX as well as his great progression was the determining factor for our decision to contract Thomas, he already caught our eyes for a while. Thomas with his down-to-earth attitude fits perfectly in our portfolio. We attribute him a huge potential for the next couple of years", explains rasoulution's managing director Tarek Rasouli the cooperation with Thomas Genon.

The newly 26TRIX champion is also looking forward to the liaison with the international marketing and communication agency situated in the heart of Munich: "It's barely impossible to ignore rasoulution when you are into bikes. Of course I also knew that Martin and Andreu are under contract at rasoulution. Moreover I recognized in the last year that I would need a management in order to push my career and enter some doors, I wouldn't pass without professional support. I am quite lucky that such an experienced and influential agency picked me! I am totally convinced that my decision for rasoulution was totally right."

We will for sure see more from Thomas Genon in the near future whether in top ten rankings or on podiums. Currently Thomas ranks 3rd in the FMB World Tour 2012 so rasoulution wishes him all the best for the remaining season and is looking forward to some successful years.
